DealMerge
Lead Engineer
Commercial real estate deal management platform
Led a team of seven through a commercial real estate platform rewrite. Owned the architecture and shipped the AI assistant, search, document workflows, integrations and billing.
What shipped.
The work that reached production.
- The rewritten platform shipped with its AI assistant, search, document pipelines, integrations and financials in production.
- A team of seven worked from documented architecture and shared delivery practices.
- Led the platform through a third-party CASA security assessment.
The context.
Commercial real estate teams need deals, documents, contacts and financials to work together. I led the rebuild of an existing product into a platform the engineering team could extend, owning architecture through release.
A key decision I owned.
I established enforceable package boundaries and a shared domain-events foundation so new features could build on the same permissions, data and delivery patterns.
What I built.
- A TypeScript and React platform with clear package boundaries, shared services and resource-level permissions.
- A streaming AI assistant with retrieval, evaluations and human approval before actions that change data.
- Recoverable document workflows, hybrid search, email and calendar integrations, billing and financial tools.
- Release checks spanning end-to-end tests, AI evaluations, database migration rehearsal and staged promotion.
