Co-owned an embeddable data-import product used by software teams. Built headless imports and AI-assisted column matching, and led the customer dashboard's technology rewrite.

- Customers could automate imports that previously required a person at a screen, retaining review when needed.
The context.
Dromo lets software companies embed spreadsheet and CSV imports in their products. As Senior Staff Frontend Engineer, I worked across the import widget, automated pipeline, schema tooling and customer dashboard.
A key decision I owned.
I connected automated imports to an interactive review flow: routine files can run headlessly, while ambiguous data gets a human decision. Matching uses deterministic rules before more costly AI steps.
What I built.
- A React and TypeScript import widget with extensible field types and performance architecture for large spreadsheets.
- Headless imports with a return to interactive review when the data needs a person.
- Cost-aware column matching, a no-code schema builder and AI-assisted bulk editing.
- The customer dashboard rewrite, product localisation and a rebuilt marketing site.
